Two weeks ago, we were on Day Two of our No Diapers at Disney Trip. Last week, I was just trying to make it through my First Day Back to Work after said trip. I love those kids but wow, this was the most exhausting Disney Trip I have had. We had fun and I surely hope the kids had fun but I do not see that happening again anytime soon, if at all. I will stick to my adult only Disney trips. I had to come back to work to relax and my next vacation is not until October when we go to the Outer Banks. At least I know there will be relaxing there. I can read a book and watch the ocean, so peaceful. Now that the trip is over and I have recovered from it, it is time to focus on making some much-needed improvements to my blog. Thank you for sticking with me. 2019 is going to be a good year I can feel it. I just had to get past this one little hurdle.
We have officially hit the under a month mark till the No Diapers at Disney Trip. Are we ready for this? Is Disney ready? I know the kids are! That’s all they talk about and now the three year old has taken to looking at Disney pictures on my phone. I hope it is everything they hope it is. The below picture is probably how they feel about the Disney Trip, so close but the gate hasn’t opened just yet. Soon!
It’s official the kids are Disney addicts just like me. The ten year old is already asking to go on a Disney Cruise and in two months we will be going to Disney World because we told the three year old she couldn’t go till she was potty trained. That’s right I am calling this trip The No Diapers at Disney Trip. The three and five year old now even ask to watch the fireworks on TV. And little Miss “I go to Disney because I wear underwears”, every time she sees my purse tells me what rides she wants to ride. The five year old even gets excited when he sees the EPCOT ball. We took the kids with us when we say the new Mary Poppins and right before the movie started they played a Disney World commercial, everyone in the theater knew the three year old was going there. It melts this Disney Loving Heart!
Three weeks ago this morning we got off our first Disney Cruise. The question is not will we go back but when? We loved cruising with Disney. I don’t honestly know if we would cruise with a different cruise line after taking a Disney Cruise. Castaway Cay (Disney’s Island) is amazing. I would have been fine if we only stopped there. It is so beautiful and Disney has done a great job making it family and adult friendly. More to come soon.
I was so excited I was going to post this on Monday (New Year’s Eve) but then life had other plans, so here it is better late then never my 2018 in review. 2018 was a year of firsts for me, not all good.
🎉 First Disney Cruise
🎉 First ER visit (for both me and the three year old)
🎉 First visit to Frankenmuth Michigan
🎉 First visit to Gulf Shoes Alabama
🎉 First Candlelight Processional at EPCOT
🎉 First time calling in sick to work in the 8 years I’ve worked there
🎉 First Christmas we didn’t put a tree up or lights outside
Where did November and December go? It seems like just yesterday the Christmas movies were starting on Hallmark and now it is almost Christmas. Here is where my November and December went.
First we went to Gulf Shores Alabama for a week, then it was Thanksgiving when we got back. Right after Thanksgiving my aunt had a double kidney transplant, we were in Disney World last week and on my first Disney Cruise over the weekend, and now it is time for Christmas.
What a world wind these last two months have been. I still have Christmas gifts to purchase, but at this point, I really do not care. It is what it is. Oh and I forgot to mention two of the kids had birthdays this week.
I know it has been a while again, sorry. Why is it when life throws stuff at you, it is almost more than you can handle? I am not sure which way is coming and going right now. I have no Christmas gifts purchased, I don’t know what to get people, let alone when I will find the time or energy to shop (yes even the queen of on-line shopping is too tired and too busy to shop on-line). I did finally get to read a book a few weeks ago, but I have tons more I would like to get to. I would really like to get a Christmas Romance or two in before the Christmas season is over. More updates to come soon.
