I May Have Found My Weakness 

Now that McDonald’s has biscut breakfast sandwhichs as part of their all day breakfast menu I may be in big trouble!  I love, love, love their bacon egg and cheese biscuts without the cheese.  Yesterday I stopped for diet coke and I was tempted by that breakfast sandwhich.  I know that is what McDonald’s is hoping that I will give in each time I am there so I will have to be strong.  I might be hard though because there is just something about their biscuts and eggs, but I will stand my ground.

Something New Saturday: Southern Belle Take On Yogurt Parfait

This is not really new, newer, I only started doing this a few months ago but it has quickly become one of my favorite things.  In fact I look forward to eating this every morning now.  It is my take on a yogurt parfait.  When your alarm goes off before the sun comes up and you are walking out the door for work as the sun is starting to rise, you want something fast for breakfast.  What I use:  2 Dannon Fruit on the Bottom yogurts and about a fourth of a cup of granola that is all.  I have tried Strawberry and Blueberry, Strawberry and Strawberry but my favorite is Strawberry and Peach.  I like this yogurt best because it actually has some big chunks of fruit in it.  I mix the peach yogurt up and poor into a jar, then I add a little of the granola, then I mix up the strawberry yogurt and pour it over the layer of granola, and then pour the rest of the granola on top of that.  Now I know because it is not low fat granola it is probably not the best for me but it is better than stopping at McDonalds every day for a breakfast sandwich and cheaper.  If you try it I hope you like it as much as I do. 

 
   

Southern Belle Cooks Wednesday: Cake, Muffins, and Sandwhiches

Sunday night I was a busy little baker/cook.  I made a few things for the week.

First: Lemon Jell-O Pudding Cake

I made a lemon Jell-O cake, lemon cake and lemon Jell-O, then I put lemon pudding in the cool whip I put on top.

Second: Cupcakes

I took a white cake mix, divided the batter in half, added cinnamon to one half and almond extract to the other.  Made them into cupcakes and left them un-iced.  That way I could crave my sweat tooth with a little fewer calories.

Third: Freeze and Go Breakfast Sandwiches

I am really liking those Egg White Delights at McDonald’s.   So I was excited when I pinned this pin on Pintrest.  Sunday night I made them!  I made mine with wheat English muffins, Canadian Bacon, Egg Whites, and White Cheddar Cheese.  I only made six instead of the twelve since I am the only one eating them and I am not feeding a whole family.
