Southern Belle Foodie

Dictionary.com defines Foodie as: a person keenly interested in food, especially in eating or cooking

I would say I am a foodie. I love trying new places and there are restaurants we go to just for the food, no matter how long the drive or wait is. I would even have to say our Disney Vacations are all about the food. I thought I would share some of my foodie favorites from the road and at home.

No More, I’m Done

This will be my last post about it I promise. I just have a few more things I have to get off my chest, so sorry. The two things that bother me most about this whole thing: are not that they went to Disney without us, heck we are going without them in a few weeks. One that after all the planning and money I put out to go in October I did not even get a “thanks for your hard work” or a “sorry that we had to cancel all your hard work”. I had the perfect trip planned for those kids and now there are down there half butting it. The other thing is she didn’t even have the nerve to tell us she was going, we had to find out from my aunt that she and the kids were going with my uncle. How nervy is that? After my parents paid for almost everything last year when we went to Florida in October and the Smoky Mountains for Thanksgiving. We have never hidden any of our vacation plans. I’m done with her. I will be civil for the kid’s sake and my cousin’s but I am done otherwise.

I’m A Little Sad Today

I am a little sad this morning; I am not going to lie.  The past two years on this first Saturday in May we have been going into Disney World for our vacation.  I thought I would be okay with not going this spring but it is turning out that I am not.  I want to see the Castle, The Tree of Life, and the EPCOT Ball.  I want to feel the pain in my feet from walking so much around the parks.  I want to taste the wonderful food at all my favorite restaurants, watch the evening firework shows and then go back to the hotel and crawl into that wonderful bed at Port Orleans.  Surprisingly I am even a little sad about missing the Flower and Garden Show.  I never really dreamed I would like it that much.  I have two Disney shirts sitting here with tags still on; I bought them when I thought we were going back this spring.  Now they are waiting to go just like me.   I need to get my Disney Side on! Hopefully a trip this fall will work out I am having Disney withdraws.
