Southern Belle Reads: A Few Updates

🚙 My most recent completed car read was The Mister by E L James the author of the Fifty Shades Series.  Wow a totally different story than Fifty Shades but very good.

📚 I really need to start my 5&10 reading again.  I have really let it slip by.
📚 Next year I am going to try and a) catch up on and b) stay up on the Read with Jenna books (from the Today Show).  I hardly ever watch the Today Show but her book picks seem to be pretty popular and good.
📚 Right now the Goodreads Reader Choice Voting is going on.  I have to say I’m a little unhappy that Grateful American didn’t make the cut.  To me that was by far the best book of 2019.

Disney+ Day 2

Here is my list (so far) of what I think is missing.

Angels in the Outfield

– The Happiest Millionaire

– Summer Magi c

– The One and Only Genuine Family Band

– The Gnome Mobile

– Dumbo’s Circus (maybe wishful thinking on my part)

Under the Umbrella Tree (again maybe wishful thinking)

– more Mickey Mouse Club episodes
On a side note I watched the new live action Lady and the Tramp.  I was never a huge fan of the original so the fact I liked the new one is pretty good.

Disney Childhood

As far back as I can remember Disney Movies/TV has been a big part of my life. I guess that is where my love of Disney comes from. With the launch of Disney+ today, which will be like a blast from the past, I thought I would share some of my Disney filled Childhood with you.

🐘 My favorite Childhood Disney Channel Show was Dumbo’s Circus

🧜🏻‍♀️ First Disney Movie I remember seeing in the theater, The Little Mermaid

🧳☂️🎠🧹 I used to play Mary Poppins and Bed-knobs and Broomsticks

🐩 I loved 101 Dalmatians so much my first dog was a Dalmatian puppy.

🌷👑💋 My favorite Princess movie is Sleeping Beauty

❤️ I loved D2 The Mighty Ducks for the hot guys (especially the cowboy 🤠) (I thought Joshua Jackson was cool before Dawson’s Creek)

So far I’m not 100% thrilled, there are a few things missing I thought would be on here. (I think part of me was hoping Dumbo’s Circus would be on Disney+. But that’s not the only thing.)

Christmas Reads Overload

A few weeks ago Harlequin had a great sale and I started stocking up on Christmas reads.  Plus I already had some from my twelve books of Christmas stock pile.  So the other evening I was evaluating my Christmas reads and I think I might have stocked up too good.  I think I have enough Christmas reads to last me till Valentine’s Day and maybe beyond.  Oh well might be reading a Christmas book a month again next year.
