Ear Obsession

I’m not one to wear headbands, they always give me a headache, so I would always avoid the Minnie Ears Headbands at Disney World. Until last March (2018) when I just had to have a pair of the Rose Gold Ears. Now I have a “Minnie” ear obsession.

This March (2019) when we went, I left for Disney with four packed and came home with seven. My original rose gold ears, princess ears (I purchased me and the girls matching ears), blue with white stars (Americana ears) and Mardi Gras ears are what I left home with. I added the teal ears with the pink bow, the giraffe ears, and the donut ears.

My current collection includes:

🎀 Rose Gold (plus two backup pair I bought when I heard they were going away)

🎀 Christmas 2018 Ears: Red with Green Bow and A Snowflake on each ear

🎀 New Americana (2019 release)

(I don’t think I forgot any)

And I just ordered the new Cruise Ears that are Blue with a red bow and have character anchors. But they have not arrived yet.

I even have the rose gold ear headband pandora charm.

I blame that first pair of rose gold ears for my rose gold obsession.

Making a Few Changes

I’m getting ready to make a few much needed changes to my life.

1) I am an impulse buyer and I need to stop that. I need to take an Amazon and Etsy hiaidis. My thought, every time I think about something I want to look at I will write it down for later. My hope is by the time I go to look it up my urge to purchase will have passed.

2) I have so many books I want to read and a good number of them are self-help/motivational books. I have a hard time really getting into those type of books. So I’m going to try something new starting August 1st (I want to see how it goes so I think this is a good day to start). I have quite time every morning. During the week it is after my shower before I make my coffee and get dressed and on the weekends well I’m usually the first one up. So I’m going to start reading (at least) five pages a day during the week and ten pages a day on the weekends of a self- help/motivational book. It may take me two months to read one book but that is okay. And I can still read the books I enjoy more during my free time.

A Few Things That Have Been On My Mind

🏝 Each day I inch closer and closer to my return to the Outer Banks. I am so excited. As much as I like going to Disney, Corolla feeds my soul.

⚓️ After watching the Outdaughtered episode where they went on a Disney Cruise, I want to go on another one so bad and I want to take the kids on one.

🍔 I’ve been watching the Great Food Truck Race this summer but could not bring myself to watch the final because I really could not stand either of the two teams competing for the win.

🎬 I have seen Toy Story 4 and The Lion King but have not seen Aladdin yet and honestly I’m kind of torn if I want to see it or not. I did like the other two movies. I will admit I’m a little confused how they will do a Toy Story 5 (if there is going to be one).

👧🏻👦🏻👩🏻👱🏻‍♀️ The kids are growing up so fast. The oldest graduated high school and starts college soon. My boy is starting Kindergarten in a few weeks and the his younger sister will start her last year of Preschool. And their older sister is starting 5th grade. (Proud Auntie Moments)

🥞 Cracker Barrel used to be the one place, while traveling especially, you could depend on a good meal, but they have gone down hill. They need to step it up a little. I can’t stand to go their anymore. And the one that is close to me is the worst one ever.

⭐️ I know what I’m about to say is not going to go over with some people but I don’t care, I’m going to say it anyway. I really wish they were not putting Star Wars Land at Disney World. I feel like it is because of it that the prices keep going up (even on annual passes) and I really could care less to even see what it looks like.

📺 I am currently on a free trail of HBO through Amazon and I watched a few episodes of Big Little Lies and I must say I really don’t understand it. Maybe I haven’t watched enough yet I’m not sure.

Raising Disney Kids

I guess it is a good sign you are helping to raise them to be Disney Loving Kids when the four year old requests to go stay at the Disney Hotel after you pick her up from day care. Melt my heart moment.
