After watching the Hallmark Channel movie Winter Castle, I was intrigued by the idea of warm milk with honey. Mainly is this something people really drink? So I did what I do best, I googled it! And I found multiple recipes and many positive reviews. So I tried it, and I have to say I am a fan. What is nice for a coffee lover like me, this gives me a non-caffeine alternative before bed. Especially here as late since it’s be cold and snowy for the last week and half.
From Lt. Dan in Forrest Gump, to Ken Mattingly in Apollo 13, to Terry McQuinn in Hallmark Hall of Fame’s Fallen Angel (on of my favs) to Mac Taylor in CSI:NY, and to my favorite Jack Garrett in Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, I have been a a Gary Sinise fan. I preordered his book months ago as soon as I learned about it. But what I got to see last month at Disney World has made me an even bigger Gary Sinise fan. We stayed at Coronado Springs last month and while we were there the Gary Sinise Foundation was there with what they call the Snowball Express. The Snowball Express brings Gold Star Famlies (Families of Fallen Soliders) together for fun and support. I feel honored to be able to say we stayed at the same hotel as these families, rode buses with them, and got to see them enjoying the magic of Disney. I truly hope each and everyone of them had a magical time at Disney, they deserve it.
It’s official the kids are Disney addicts just like me. The ten year old is already asking to go on a Disney Cruise and in two months we will be going to Disney World because we told the three year old she couldn’t go till she was potty trained. That’s right I am calling this trip The No Diapers at Disney Trip. The three and five year old now even ask to watch the fireworks on TV. And little Miss “I go to Disney because I wear underwears”, every time she sees my purse tells me what rides she wants to ride. The five year old even gets excited when he sees the EPCOT ball. We took the kids with us when we say the new Mary Poppins and right before the movie started they played a Disney World commercial, everyone in the theater knew the three year old was going there. It melts this Disney Loving Heart!
I usually love Christmas but this past Christmas with so much going on and traveling I feel like I missed out on the fun of Christmas. Don’t get me wrong I loved every minute of our Disney Christmas Vacation and Disney Christmas Cruise and we are all so very thankful to the family that had to lose someone so my Aunt could get her new to her kidneys. So to keep Christmas going I have decided to do 12 books of Christmas. Each month I will read at least one Christmas book. Book number one:
Three weeks ago this morning we got off our first Disney Cruise. The question is not will we go back but when? We loved cruising with Disney. I don’t honestly know if we would cruise with a different cruise line after taking a Disney Cruise. Castaway Cay (Disney’s Island) is amazing. I would have been fine if we only stopped there. It is so beautiful and Disney has done a great job making it family and adult friendly. More to come soon.
As 35 inches closer and closer, it’s not that turning 35 freaks me out, it’s that it snuck up on me. I really can’t believe it is here already. As I said before age is just a number to me and you are as old as you feel, so 35 doesn’t freak me out like it does some. Yes I’m a little disappointed with myself that I haven’t accomplished more by this point in my life but that is my own fault. I will embrace 35 and hopefully use it as a turning point to maybe start accomplishing more.
