My Journey Re-Reading GWTW Week 1.5 Update

I am not going to lie the first week and half did not go as well as I would have liked. I have had so many distractions that I haven’t had time to focus on my reading and this week might not be any better and next week will probably be a complete wash. But I will read when I can.

How Do You Know?

How do you know when it is time to move on? That you have gave all that you can give and you need more? How do you make yourself try to move on? After so many years what do you even need to do to move on now? So many questions with no clear answers. I guess follow your gut.

Welcome to My Journey Rereading Gone With the Wind

Today is the day I start my journey of rereading Gone With the Wind. The first time I read the book was the winter after I graduated college. I think it took me two months to read it cover to cover. But I was a fan long before that. I was a has cGone With the Wind goner from the first time I saw Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) standing at the bottom of the Twelve Oaks stairs the day of the barbeque. In some ways I think my love of Rhett Butler is a reason why I am still single. He has given me a false reality. I’m looking for a man with the perfect mix of pure southern gentleman and bad boy, just like Rhett. Thank you for coming on my journey with me. It might get a little bumpy along the way but it will be fun.

Catching Up

I know I having been posting much lately. I have been a busy woman: between traveling (Cumberland Falls for New Year’s and Gatlinburg or my Birthday), family functions, work, kids, and planning my next Disney Trip. But I am going to start making time for me and my blog again. So first lets play catch up.

Travel

As I mentioned briefly we spent New Year’s in Cumberland Falls and mine and my mom’s birthday in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. I really missed the mountains and it was really good to get back to them. I hope we can get there a little more this year than we did last year. I love that mountain air. My next Disney Trip is just around the corner so I am looking forward to that right now.

Reading

I started a new series while I was in the mountains; Smoky Mountains Matches by Karen Kirst. I have only read the first book but I really enjoyed it. I still need to finish the Dare Island Series and now get into this series more. But first I am going to reread Gone With the Wind. My journey begins Wednesday.

Kids

The kids and their mommy went to Cumberland Falls with us but not Gatlinburg. I love spending time with them but one weekend in a months time is okay, I really can not handle two weeks in one month. I pretty much pick the two younger ones up at day care every Tuesday, so we are getting some quality Auntie Time in.

I guess that is about all.

Congratulations

I know I am almost a week late but Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles on their first Super Bowl win. But more importantly thank you for beating Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

2018 the Year of the Blog

2018 is the year I finally invest much needed time, energy, and money into my blog. My first purchase…

Now I can blog from anywhere easier. I have tried kindles with wireless keyboards but those just don’t cut it for me. I have tried smaller tablets with keyboards but the keys are too little for my fingers. My laptop is too big and bulky to carry everyday. Hopefully this will be the winner. I would love a MacBook but that’s not in the budget just yet.
