Mingle The Mouse Way

If you are a Disney Fan, like me, you have probably heard there is now an online dating site for Fans of the Mouse called Mouse Mingle.  Now let me start out by saying personally I do not feel like online dating is the way for me to find my prince charming.  But I wanted to see what Mouse Mingle was so I joined for about a day.  It was a real eye opener to say the least.  I hope people on there find a love match.  I think sites like Match and eHarmony probably have better technology but I think it is nice that Disney fans have a place where they can go to meet other Disney fans,  if on-line dating is their thing.  If I change my mind about on-line dating then I might think about trying Mouse Mingle for real but until then I will wait for my prince charming to ride up on his white horse or my Rhett Butler to be standing at the bottom of the stairs.  I guess this Southern Belle is just a little too old fashioned.

Home Game by: Bret Boone

Growing up in Cincinnati Reds country and being a die hard Reds fan in the 90’s I was a Bret Boone fan.  Now of course once I learned about Aaron Boone, I was head over heels in love with him.  I was also a thirteen year old girl.  I was super excited about this book.  I actually ended up listening to the audio version, which was read by Bret Boone, so I actually thought that was made it even better.  It felt like he was telling me his story himself.  I loved this book!  I became a Bret & Aaron Boone fan all over again.  I was really impressed with the respect he had for Barry Larkin.  Larkin to my generation of Reds Fans was like Babe Ruth or Hank Aaron.  He was a local celebrity as was Ken Griffey Jr and he seemed to have respect for him as well.  I was actually one of the fans that was said when the Reds fired Bob Boone as their manager which led to the trade of Aaron Boone as well.  It was thy day Aaron Boone was traded that my die hard fandom for the Reds ended.  I was a Boone girl through and trough and he was the last Boone standing as a Red.  I am thankful that Bret Boone not only wrote this book but took the time to narrate the audio version as well.  I feel like through this book I was given an inside look into the Boone Family.  It was interesting to read that the Boone patriarch passed away on the same day and year as my aunt.  From what I can tell two very special people were taken from this world on that day.  Two special people that have lots of people still missing them.  Thank You Brett Boone for giving not only me but all who read your book a glimpse into the Boone Family.

Dear Ava Miles

I don’t know if you will see this or not.  But I just wanted to let you know I absolutely LOVE your books.  You have quickly become one of my favorite authors.  I don’t think there is anything wrong with your stories, but then again I have read Fifty Shades and your stories are mild compared to them.  I can’t wait to read more.  Thank you for your hard work.

Why Food Network Why

I do not know why I bother watching Food Network Star, I never like the winner.  Last night’s winner was my least favorite by far.  I think she is so annoying!  I will definitely not be tuning in to her show.  I would have loved to watch a show by the runner up, but that’s not happening.  I don’t understand it Food Network, why!?
