My earliest childhood memory was playing Mary Poppins at my Grandma’s house. She used to knot so she had a knitting bag that reminded me of Mary Poppins’ carpet bag and I had these twin dolls that were a boy and a girl. The boy had a J his outfit and the girl had a M but I did not care they were Jane and Michael. Michael got a burn mark on his butt one time because he got a little too close to grandma’s cigarette but that is beside the point. So I would play Mary Poppins, I would be Mary of course, and I would pull my stuff out of the “carpet bag” and those dolls were my Jane and Michael. Along the same lines but Aunt had a brass day bed and one of the knobs was loose so I would play Bedknobs and Broomsticks on her bed. I grow up on Disney movies if you couldn’t tell.
